Greene, Ph. D. <p class="body"> For a direct link to Tim s website, click on: <a href="http://www.gcradvisors.com" target="_blank">www.gcradvisors.com</a></p> <p class="body"> Tim Greene earned a B.A. degree in Philosophy from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He returned to Vanderbilt to earn an M.S. from Vanderbilt s School of Engineering, where he won the Ingram Fellowship in Engineering Management. He subsequently earned a Ph.D. in Public Policy from Vanderbilt, where he was the winner of the inaugural Bridgestone/Firestone Fellowship.</p> <p class="body"> Tim works for corporations on all phases of the environmental risk management process -- from risk analysis to insurance placement, to claims advocacy. He has substantial experience in industries burdened by long-tail and latent claims, such as asbestos and pollution. In this area, he works with companies on insurance archaeology to reconstruct coverage in dispute. He also works with organizations to strategically manage risk, as well as to transfer it via insurance.</p> <p class="body"> Tim has worked with organizations on risk matters since 1993. His clients include chief financial officers, chief compliance officers, insurance/risk managers, in-house counsel and outside attorneys. His industry experience is broad and includes manufacturing, transportation, energy, construction, and the full range of financial services businesses. He gained significant experience as a line manager (banking) and as a corporate staffer (manufacturing, transportation) prior to developing his risk management consulting practice in 2000. He has partnered on projects with consultancies such as LECG and Navigant; has been retained by global insurance brokers, including Willis and Marsh; has worked with Smith & Carson and Sawyer & Company, which are boutique investigative firms; and has been retained by or through dozens of AmLaw 100 firms.</p> <p class="body"> Tim has taught graduate and undergraduate courses and has delivered professional and technical presentations at national conferences. He has participated in industry association task forces, including one in which he co-authored the  Marine Risk Management Guide for the Chemical Manufacturers Association. His work has appeared in numerous books and journals including the <i>Journal of Business Ethics</i> and <i>The Green Bottom Line: Environmental Accounting for Management</i>.
